Need Help?

The Office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance offers counseling and advocacy services, educational programming, and training, consultation and policy development services to all members of the University community. Our programs and services are designed to promote ways of coping with the effects of interpersonal violence and to prevent such violence from occurring. We are a confidential resource for students.

Crisis Intervention
If you need immediate assistance, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   A trained, confidential advocate is available to speak with you over the phone to provide you with support and information about the various options available to you.

If you are reporting an incident of domestic violence or sexual violence to law enforcement or having a forensic exam completed, an advocate can be available to meet you at that location to provide support and information.

To speak with an advocate now, please contact (856) 225-2326 and let the person who answers know you need to speak with an advocate immediately. Crisis intervention services are free and confidential to all Rutgers-Camden students.
